Jan and Jim. What a pair. They are the kind of people that have been married for so long that they can anticipate what the other is thinking; it’s kind of eerie. I knew immediately from their radio silence when we walked into the house on Walnut Grove that they were quietly telling each other “this is the one,” I was just waiting for one of the to say it out loud.
Well, Jan said it out loud but not before I stepped in dog poop in the backyard (which, apparently is a sign of good luck, though I’m not sure why!). With the help of my friend Ben (shout out to Ben) for sending a couple emails while I was driving, we were able to win in a multiple offer situation and got Jim and Jan the house!!
It’s a perfect fit for them. One level, unbelievably sturdy and well cared for. They’ll be living in this house for a long time, enjoying all that Oregon City has to offer, including being closer to their dear friends.
Congratulations Jim and Jan! Welcome home!
