Gamintz and I met a year or so ago and we looked at one home. I explained the process of buying a home and the steps it takes to get a set of keys. I offered to connect her with my preferred lender and told her he would lead her in the loan pre approval process. Apparently the idea of me being her Realtor wasn’t love at first sight and she tried her hand at another Realtor or three. I don’t know the details but it sounds as if they had a few challenges along the way. One of which was the lender (referred by other Realtor) declining her loan just a few days prior to closing.
She had her husband call me and he explained the story and asked was there anything I could do to get them in a home. I outlined the same process explained to them a year earlier and connected them with the most aggressive lender I know. He looked at her files, made a few suggestions and they were approved in no time. We looked at homes in Mollalla, Canby, Salem and all points in between over a few day period. When we arrived at this sprawling, low slung jewel complete with a back yard fountain and more wallpaper than I can mention, it was clear it was the right fit. Gamintz could envision a place for each of their two daughters, painting the beams in the living room black and an entire room for her husband to watch his beloved Green Bay Packers.
Gamintz looked at me at the home inspection and in her strong accent said, “I Like You”. I like you too, Gamintz, and am excited for you and your family.
