I got a phone call a few months ago from contacts that I had stayed in touch with that they were finally ready to get going with their home search. Yay! I loved Jen and Josh immediately – they are optimistic, upbeat, funny people and I knew we would have a blast finding an incredible home for them and their big blended family.
We lost a few houses being outbid before we found the perfect home in Beavercreek. It’s a lovely split level on a huge garden-filled lot on a cul-de-sac and fit almost every part of their criteria.
If only we knew what was to come!
Days before closing we found out that there were some extenuating circumstances with their loan and that we were not going to be able to close on the home. Devastated, we all tried hard to get into problem solving mode to figure out next steps. I felt a little like a cheerleader at this point keeping everyone’s spirits up and maintaining all of that natural optimism Josh and Jen have.
We found a lender who said he could get the job done – and that he did! I negotiated fervently on their behalf to keep the sellers in the transaction. We even got early possession for them to be able to move in prior to close!
It ended up all working out beautifully, though with a few bumps along the way. It just goes to show that almost any problem can be solved in a transaction and if you want a home bad enough, we will do whatever it takes for our clients to get it.
I’m over the moon for this family and their new home! Congratulations!!
